ABSTRACT

Agriculture has been a major contributor to national economy of India, especially during the last four decades with the advent of green revolution that ushered in the giant leap of progress in the area of crop production. The agriculture sector today contributes nearly 35% of net national product. During the past few years, agriculture sector has witnessed spectacular advances in the production and productivity of food grains. Rice is one of the major food grains of India and mostly grown in kharif season. Moreover, demand of food grain is increasing day-by-day due to increasing population.
