ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses application of electrokinetics to control nitrate movement in soils. Electrokinetics is generally defined as physicochemical
transport of charge, action of charged particles, and effect of applied electric potentials on formation and fluid transport in porous media. Therefore, the term electrokinetics refers to coupled fluid and charge (electric current) transport.
