21.1 INTRODUCTION

In accordance with the implementation of the International Convention on the prohibition of the development, production, stockpiling and use of chemical weapons and on their destruction in the Udmurt Republic in the city of Kambarka in the period from 2006 to 2009 work was carried

out for the destruction of chemical weapon lewisite, and to 2012 – with the reaction mass after it destruction. Since the arsenic oxides and inorganic compounds in accordance with GOST 17.4.1.02-83 “Protection of nature. Soil” (GOST – State standard of the Russian Federation) belong to the first class of danger, the obvious need to determine the presence of contaminated land specific substances and products of their degradation, and to establish a system of regular observations of the status of these territories, to exclude the possibility of negative impact of pollutants on human health and the environment. The aim of the present work is the improvement of the approach to the organization of ecological monitoring of natural environments with consideration of the peculiarities of the chemical behavior of technogenic compounds of arsenic and its influence on precipitation.
