ABSTRACT
A cognitive radio (CR) is a software-dened radio (SDR) that senses its surrounding conditions and enables a user to keep track of different types of alterations and respond upon identication. A CR is an autonomous component in a communication atmosphere that often interchanges data with the links it is capable of acquiring, and communicates with other CRs. In our opinion, a CR is a recongured SDR which is precisely softwaredened and shows the further progress of next-generation radio technologies [1,2].
