ABSTRACT

Historically, most data arrived in the form of static tables. However, data today are now becoming increasingly dynamic, streaming, and augmented with information previously unavailable. Moreover, data today are more complex and available at di«erent layers or hierarchies. Given these changes in the data analytics community, teaching a sport business analytics course presents several unique challenges warranting consideration when designing how the course will be delivered. erefore, while certainly not exhaustive, this chapter will include personal observations, experiences, and suggestions to assist sport business/management faculty currently teaching a sport business analytics course or planning to teach a similar course in the future.
