ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT The rapidly evolving Big Data technology space has given rise to various tools and platforms in the last few years to deal with Big Data analytics. The new entrant to the Big Data technology space is the genre of technologies that are designed ground up with an analytics first approach instead of the storage first approach of existing Big Data technologies. In this chapter we call this genre of technologies Fast Data Analytics Technologies that originated from research work at Berkeley Amp Lab and Technische Universität Berlin. These technologies can be put together with other Big Data technologies to create the Fast Data Analytics Stack geared toward addressing the Big Data analytics needs of an enterprise from the creation of data products to operationalization of data products for day-to-day business use. In this chapter we’ll delve into the details of features and technologies of the Fast Data Analytics Stack and discuss how the same can be used for achieving the various needs of Big Data analytics in an enterprise.
