The engineering of cyber-physical systems (CPS) is inherently multidisciplinary, requiring the collaborative eort of engineers from a wide range of backgrounds, often with signicantly dierent models, methods, and tools. In such an environment, shared understanding of common concepts and the points at which terminology diers is essential. This is particularly the case in engineering dependable CPS.
