ABSTRACT
Reverse Pharmacology means reverse path to adopt to find novel therapeutic mechanism from established evidence reference. This chapter describes how Reverse Pharmacology can be a troubleshooter if integrated with analytical sciences to discover new drugs like Botanical Drugs from already proven and practiced sciences like Ayurveda. An entire listing of various medicinal plants databases including habitat, medical cross-references, genomic and proteomic data, and phytochemicals is readily offered. Basic Principles and practices of Indian System of Medicine, Ayurveda can be translated into actual drug discovery and development techniques, such breakthrough strategic framework is highlighted in this Chapter with schematic presentation.
