ABSTRACT
Botanical drug products (BDP) are either to be used for diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment and prevention of disease in humans. Use of botanicals for improving and caring of human health has involved in many different countries worldwide. They are being used throughout the history to improve human health. Plants have been a common source of medicine either in the form of active pharmaceutical preparations or traditional method. Till now only few botanical drug products are approved due to come obstacle arises during clinical trials, but the so far studies have proven that botanical drug products are potent in managing diseases. Approved drugs are used for the treatment of genital warts and diarrhea induced with HIV/AIDS. The objective of this review is to know more in detail about the relation between BDP and disease management.
