ABSTRACT
Thermoplastic foams are applied widely in many industrial fields, such as packaging, cushioning, insulation, and construction, for their excellent processability, recyclability, and weak influence on environment. Among thermoplastic foams, polypropylene (PP) foam has several advantages over other foams. PP foam is resistant to chemicals and abrasion. PP foam offers higher strength as compared to polyethylene (PE) foam and better compact strength as compared to polystyrene foam. PP foam also provides a higher service temperature and good temperature stability as compared to other polyolefin foams.
