ABSTRACT

Among plastic foaming technologies, extrusion foaming has generally been known to obtain low-density foam products with simple geometry. On the other hand, foam injection molding has been implemented to manufacture high-density foam products with three-dimensional geometries. Bead foaming is another means of foam manufacturing to produce low-density foam products with complex three-dimensional geometries. In this method, lowdensity bead foams are molded into the desired final foam product shape [1].
