ABSTRACT
The concept of polymer blending to develop new materials for scientific and commercial requirements has been growing exponentially during the last two decades. Polymer blends offer the possibility of combining the unique properties of individual polymers and that of producing new polymeric materials with tailor-made properties, which often have advantages over the development of a completely new polymeric material. The process of polymer blending is a simple, fast, effective, and economical method of producing high performance-to-cost ratio materials.
