ABSTRACT

In this chapter, our aim is to explore the latest developments that use electrospun poly(vinylidene fluoride-trifluoroethylene) (PVDF-TrFE) nanoweb fibers in fabrication of stretchable/flexible piezoelectric sensors. The discussion will focus on the electrospinning parameters, morphological, spectral, and electrical properties of PVDF-TrFE nanoweb fiber and its applications as piezoelectric sensors. Moreover, some of the difficulties faced by electrospun fibers such as precise deposition, large-scale production, flexibility improvement, and subsequent integration into flexible/stretchable piezoelectric sensors are also discussed.
