ABSTRACT
Geographic information systems (GISs) have become important tools in eciently solving many problems in which spatial data are important. Natural resources and environmental concerns, including groundwater, have beneted greatly from the use of GIS. is chapter provides a brief introduction to GIS and some of its applications in addressing groundwater issues.
