      ABSTRACT

      Bubble motion from a surrounding pressure variation is one of the most fundamental gas-liquid two-phase flow problems and is closely related to the macroscale behavior of two-phase flows, the performance of cavitating fluid machinery, and medical ultrasound applications. The bubble motion can be solved exactly by the integration of the conservation equations for mass, momentum, and energy for the gas phase inside the bubble and the liquid phase outside the bubble. When the bubble motion starts, the expansion wave propagates outside and the pressure distribution is formed in the liquid phase according to the motion of the bubble interface. Cavitation bubbles that collapse to a size an order of magnitude smaller than their maximum size inevitably emerge from that collapse as a cloud of smaller bubbles rather than as a single vapour bubble is fragmentation could be caused by a single micro jet. Many researchers have investigated theoretically and numerically the dynamics of a bubble cloud.
