ABSTRACT

Current developments in technologies and high-throughput research generate an unprecedented amount of biological data (Luscombe et al. 2001). This large digital information from biology causes data overload, which could not be processed by the human brain (Rhee et al. 2006). As a result, computers have become essential to biological research to handle large quantities of data in order to extract meaningful biological information. This leads to the emergence of a new eld of science called “bioinformatics,” which integrates biology and information technology.
