ABSTRACT
CLC data in raster format are derived products. Primary European vector data are rasterized with 100-m and 250-m grid sizes. All of the previous CLC inventories are available for distribution in vector as well as in raster format, including the so-called status layers (CLC1990, CLC2000, CLC2006, and CLC2012) and the respective change layers (Table 7.1). CLC products are identified by a version number (as of January 2016 the latest is Version 18). A new version number indicates the increase of the coverage (new areas are mapped or a new inventory is produced*). Table 7.1 presents the European CLC data disseminated by the EEA Data Service (Büttner, 2014) and the Copernicus Land programme (Copernicus, 2015). The full time series (historical, actual, and future) are disseminated via land.coper nicus .eu (Copernicus, 2015), while historical time series are downloadable also via eea .europa.eu (EEA, 2014). All datasets are accompanied by extensive metadata.
