ABSTRACT

The option to obtain information about land cover (LC) changes from the CLC1990, CLC2000, CLC2006, and CLC2012 data for the whole of Europe or for individual countries is one of their most important benefits. The compatible contents of CoORdination of Information on the Environment (CORINE) Land Cover (CLC) data from individual time horizons, as well as the applied interpretation procedures, offer a reliable guarantee of this benefit (Feranec et al., 2012; Büttner, 2014). Data concerning CLC1990-2000 changes are available for 28 countries (with Turkey; see Table 2.2). Their time interval is not exactly 10 years for all countries, as the generation of data took place in 1986-1998 (see Table 2.1).
