ABSTRACT

In the periodic table, rare earth elements (REEs) represent a group of 15 elements, specifically the lanthanides (Table 7.1). They are often referred to as REEs, share common physiochemical properties, and, therefore, often occur together as elemental constituents of their host minerals.
