ABSTRACT
Let us begin by welcoming what we hope is a broad range of readers to this handbook: teens and their parents; driving instructors; legislators; staff in various state agencies charged with regulating the licensing of novice teen drivers; program officers at the different agencies, institutes, and foundations that sponsor research on novice and teen drivers; and academics from a broad spectrum of disciplines. You all have a part to play here. We hope that the material herein can inform and educate, showcase, and even inspire.
