ABSTRACT

A well-known historical landslide in Greece is analyzed and its temporal evolution through the last twenty years is presented. Ground displacements based on inclinometer monitoring data are evaluated and typical horizontal movement diagrams are compiled. An intermediate three year “measurement gap” of the recorded data is filled using a forecasting statistical model based on the average rate of displacement and the method of simple linear regression. The model accuracy was validated using the data of displacements during the recent three year time period.
