ABSTRACT

The aim of this study is to present the results of the statistical method adopted for preparing landslide susceptibility maps and morphometric modeling for basin delimitation with high susceptibility to generate debris flow and flash flood. The methods were applied in 111 municipalities located in the states of Espirito Santo, Minas Gerais, Paraná and São Paulo, being suitable with the scale adopted and map data available for modeling. The parameters used for the preparation of susceptibility to landslides were the slope, curvature and slope of structural lineaments. For the debris flow basin was adopted the area and the amplitude and the Melton index was applied. Photo interpretation was adopted for the delimitation of boulder fields and rocky cliffs. The applicability of the method throughout Brazil was of paramount importance to the selection of parameters.
