ABSTRACT

Subject of the present study is the evaluation of landslide hazard in a site susceptible to different instability phenomena, focusing both on the analysis of stability conditions of the whole slope and on mechanisms that could have smaller magnitude but higher probability of occurrence in terms of time and involved volume (e.g. collapse of rock prisms or towers identified during onsite survey).

In particular, the present paper aims to examine in depth a slope called La Marogna located in the Ital-ian Eastern Alps. The work is based on detailed on site surveys and numerical modeling devoted to evaluate both the triggering and the propagation phases of all the identified instability phenomena.
