ABSTRACT

In this paper, we study the quantized stabilization problem for a class of strict feedback nonlinear systems, in which the hysteretic quantizer is used to quantize the input signal. Compared with the logarithmic quantizer, the hysteretic quantizer can avoid chatting effectively. The parameter of the quantizer is chosen based on the parameters of the system and controller. In order to obtain the controller for the system, we first introduce the standard backstepping method and then the command-filtered backstepping approach in detail. By using the command-filtered backstepping approach, a quantized controller is designed and the stability of the closed-loop system is ensured in the sense of signal boundedness.
