ABSTRACT
Research to determine the remaining lifespan of concrete structures is frequently required. In this article the motivation and background of doing so are described. To be able to achieve this goal a SBRCURnet-advisory committee was installed. Its members represent parties who are dealing with this issue on a regular basis. A roadmap has been developed that has been accepted by all parties. This roadmap describes ways and conditions to investigate concrete structures and analyse and interpret results in order to establish the remaining lifespan under the strict condition that the structural safety is guaranteed at all time.
