ABSTRACT

Public centers with multiple functions of education, research and medical care are required on the Lake Tonle Sap in Cambodia as an international design competition means. In response to the ecological requirements of the CAMBODIA 2015 design competition launched by Eleven Magazine, a feasible, movable and environmental friendly constructional floating pattern is put forward, which is suitable for locals to mimic for its low cost and simplicity. This paper presents innovative designs including the architectural patterns, structural module, assembly groups, management of energy supply, water supply and sewage treatments, etc.
