ABSTRACT
The role of laparoscopic surgery in urogynecology is still unclear. This is partly due to a lack of robust evidence supporting the use of the laparoscopic approach to urogynecological procedures and partly due to a lack of training opportunities for both young and older surgeons. The lack of robust evidence of added value for the laparoscopic approach enables those who are resistant to change to maintain their position.
