A1 C The most frequent anorectal malformation in male patients is rectourethral fistula. The correct diagnosis of the malformation is important since it predicts the prognosis for bowel control. There are two types of rectourethral fistula: rectobulbar urethral fistula (which carries the best prognosis) and rectoprostatic urethral fistula.
