ABSTRACT

Vascular disease may involve the arterial, venous or lymphatic systems of the body. is chapter will review the physical examination of each of the circulatory systems, as well as typical exam ndings in patients with common vascular diseases, such as peripheral arterial disease, chronic venous insuciency and lymphedema. It should be noted, however, that vascular compromise is oen multifactorial; thus a full physical exam is important on a patient with vascular disease because the aetiology may be secondary to another organ system. is chapter will only focus on the specic ndings within the vascular system, but care should be taken to always start with a broad dierential.
