ABSTRACT
A thick vessel, with a large volume, has a longer TRT, and thus requires longer pulse duration to reach the target temperature of 70° C for at least 1 ms, than does a thin vessel with a smaller volume. The pulse duration has to be adjusted according to the target size (Figure 43.3).
