ABSTRACT

Performing a nail biopsy in a child is not always easy, as many factors may interfere with the procedure. Pain tolerance, especially during the local anesthesia, is the cornerstone of any surgical procedure. The second essential point is the immobility of the child during the procedure. Postoperative pain should be managed adequately. Renewal of the dressing is also a source of anxiety for the child.
