ABSTRACT

This research aimed to analyze the contribution of tourist activities on family cohesion. The survey method is used in this study. Samples were obtained from residents of Bogor City, West Java; totaling 300 families were selected using convenience sampling technique. Data were analyzed with descriptive method and multiple regressions. The results showed that families chose the activity of natural, cultural, and special attractions. They have frequently done favorite tourist activities, such as culinary tourism, shopping, and enjoying natural scenery. The frequency and duration of the activity of natural and special attractions had a significant and positive effect on family cohesion, while cultural attractions had no effect.
