ABSTRACT

The article explains about the mosque as a tourist attraction for history and religion tour which has an educational value. The mosque under investigation in this research is the Grand Mosque of Manonjaya located in Tasikmalaya, West Java, Indonesia. It was built in the Dutch colonial period. The building is the combination of local and European architecture. The uniqueness of the architecture has become a tourist attraction for historical and religious tour. The method used in this research was historical method that emphasized the interpretation of historical sources which was the construction of the mosque itself. The interpretation was done by the theories which were inherent in the educational values. The result of this research showed that the Grand Mosque of Manonjaya has religious, harmony, multicultural, indigenous and historical values.
