ABSTRACT

Sweden comprises approximately 9.625 million people who are policed by 23,000 ocers, of whom about one-third are women. In addition, there is also an auxiliary sta of approximately of 8,500 civilians. e Swedish Police Service, one of the country’s largest organizations, is a national police system that is accountable to the Ministry of Justice. e Swedish National Police Board is the central administrative, coordinating, and supervisory authority of the police service, its resources, and employees. e governmentappointed National Police Commissioner heads the Board and is responsible for operations.
