ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: Public space is an integral part of urban areas, where it’s quality affects their success. The aim of this paper is to define main parameters of quality of public space around residential complexes such as courtyards, with subsequent monitoring of their effects on quality of living and comfort of their users. The output from the paper is to achieve a comprehensive view on the issue and define key parameters which conditionally ensure functionality and usability of public spaces and pointing out the deficiencies identified based on conducted case study.
