ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: This article presents results of experimental investigations of dependence between the air velocity inside ventilated façades air cavities and external wind speed. New experimental results that were obtained by the author, and new objective laws and formulas, based on those results, allowed us to find the air velocity inside such an air cavity due to different external air speed. The article present results of investigations of convective and radiative heat transfer inside ventilated facades air cavities depending on different outside air temperature from −30°C to +30°C and on the different outer wind speed. These investigations and… derived from them Reynolds, Nusselt and Prandtl numbers were used to develop a methodology that is aimed to estimate heat resistance characteristics of ventilated facades air cavities subjected to different outer wind speeds and air temperatures in multistory buildings.
