ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT: The paper shows an example of a specific project built five years ago. It illustrates how it is possible to optimize a final quality while respecting a shape and layout of designs and construction methods. A combination of design and technology solutions together with better operating characteristics of the resulting object were achieved significantly simplified construction and reduced execution time. Using an advanced technology of hybrid (precast-monolith) concrete structures leads to considerable savings on the volume of the resulting structures when compared to the originally proposed solution of a monolithic reinforced concrete system. The case study is focused on such a building that after five years of an operation shows no visible defects and satisfactorily serves its purpose.
