ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: The effect of admixtures was evaluated based on the average values of concrete parameters (e.g. strength) and numeric distribution characteristics of these parameters, including probabilistic indexes used for finding guaranteed material properties. In the described study, the empirical distributions of parameters were characterized by parametric values, including a mean variability index and asymmetry index as well as with non-parametric indexes (e.g. quantile) which are determined based on repeated experiments. It has been demonstrated that the technical measures taken in order to increase the mean values may differ from the measures aiming at improvement of performance, with the more the distribution deviates from normal, the more profound the difference is.
