ABSTRACT

The complex system provides full sensory and motor interfaces between the plane and the capsule. 360 degree cameras relay the full visual field; microphones and speakers allow communications and engine noise feedback. The technologies would offer individuals the opportunity to enhance their daily lives and engage in common everyday activities that are currently hindered by their disability. The field of telemedicine and/or telerehabilitation has grown into a fertile substrate for innovative approaches to fulfill clinical needs. Telemedicine can be defined as the use of medical information exchanged from one site to another via electronic communications, information technology and telecommunications, for the health and education of the patient or healthcare provider and for the purpose of improving patient care. Virtual reality (VR) can be viewed as an advanced form of human-computer interface that allows the user to "interact" with, and become "immersed" within a computer generated virtual environments in a more intuitive and naturalistic fashion.
