ABSTRACT
Introduction
Elderly drivers are over-represented in fatal traffic accidents (Evans, 1988). Attention failures with age are commonly invoked as a cause of such a fact (Staplin and Lyles, 1991). Indeed, elderly people suffer from a general slowing down of processing as well as a degradation of the inhibition mechanism, leading to an alteration of selective attention.
