ABSTRACT

Regarding timber beam as a viscoelastic medium with the standard linear solid constitutive relation and assuming bonding tightly between the fibre reinforcement polymer (FRP) sheet and timber beam, the creep behavior of linear bending of the timber beam reinforced with FRP sheet was studied. The analytical solution for bending deformation of the clamped FRP-reinforced viscoelastic timber beam subjected to step uniform load was presented by means of the Laplace transform. The analytical solution for bending of the clamped FRP-reinforced viscoelastic timber beam subjected to step uniform load was presented by means of the Laplace transform. Consider the viscosity of the timber beam, the linear bending behavior of the FRP-reinforced timber beam was investigated. The analytical solution for bending of the clamped FRP-reinforced viscoelastic timber beam subjected to step uniform load was obtained with the Laplace transform.
