ABSTRACT
Vibration analysis is important because of their impact on the building structure and due to the potential compression of soil under the foundations. Based on the inspection and archival building design it was found that the building has a structure typical for residential buildings constructed at the turn of the XIX and XX centuries in Wroclaw. Many new objects have been constructed, sometimes with several underground storeys, which are situated near existing historical buildings. In such situations it is necessary to not only perform a detailed assessment of the technical state of these monumental buildings, but the layout of their foundation, loads from new objects influencing them and the limits of displacements of old buildings that will not cause dangerous damage to them must also be determined. Buildings, especially historical ones, which surround deep trenches, are characterized by different sensitivity to influences resulting from the deformation of the ground.
