ABSTRACT

The main hall of Buseoksa Temple, called Muryangsujeon, is located in the Buseoksa temple in Yeongju city, Korea. This chapter deals with the monitoring activity on Muryangsujeon, the Buseoksa's main hall and is to assume the deformed limitation of the wall that consists of. The hall is located in the Buseoksa temple in Korea, and its present appearance is the result of a restoration in 1916. Muryangsujeon is well known as an ancient architecture of Korea in that there are few buildings built before the 16th century. Also the deformation of the inner wall was more serious than the outside wall as the direction of inclination was inwards. The 3-dimensional ground penetrating radar was set up to measure the maximum penetration depth 30 cm considering the depth of the wall. The strength of the wall depends on the strength of the inner frame members, and the inner frame members can be deformed by the load.
