ABSTRACT

Rouge waves are very large, rare events in a random ocean wave train. In this paper, the homotopy analysis method is applied to obtain Nth-order rogue wave solution of nonlinear Schrödinger equation. In particular, the interesting structures for the fifth- and seventh-order solutions of rogue wave are shown. The analytical results will guide the experiments and can help generate rouge wave in the laboratory in the future.
