1 INTRODUCTION

Virtualization[1] is the abstraction of physical resources, i.e., the physical components run in a virtual environment. For example, it produces a plurality of logical CPU by the abstracted CPU; it generates the virtual memory by memory abstraction;[2] it provides multiple logical devices to different customers by abstracting a single device to more than one, etc. Emergence of virtualization technology greatly improves the efficiency and utilization of computer resources. But with the development of virtualization technology, the maturing in function of memory and CPU virtualization, the device virtualization is still a bottleneck in the system virtualization.[3] Therefore, to improve the efficiency and performance of device virtualization is a key issue to be solved at present. This paper proposed a method of an improved VMM-based device virtualization technology after describing the key technologies of system virtualization, and the experiments show that the schema has a high performance.
