ABSTRACT
The growth of the elderly population due to technological advances and improvements in health care is a present reality in the world demographic structure, with reductions in mortality and birth rates, increasing the number of elderly people. The World Health Organization (WHO) states that for developing countries, the elderly are any individuals over the age of 60 (WHO, 2015).
