ABSTRACT

The existence of stark, unfair and worsening health inequality and the role of clinicians in tackling this growing social problem is addressed throughout this book. Here it is argued that postgraduate medical training requires a refreshed GP curriculum for health equity to ensure this vital group of clinicians acquire the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to address the diverse health needs of their patients.
