The article will provide the reader with practical aspects of extrusion as well as an overview of the theoretical work and current challenges of this important aluminum alloy processing technology. This article is divided into three main sections: basic parameters for designing a section or die, an overview of extrusion processing, and optimization of productivity, cost and quality.
