ABSTRACT

Global economic demands and population surges led to dwindling resources and problematic environmental subjects. As the climate and its natural resources continue to struggle, it becomes necessary to research and employ new forms of sustainable technology to help meet the growing demand. This report establishes a dialogue between science and ethics. The aim of this work is to initiate a debate by suggesting a number of questions. The discussion deals with these questions from the perspective of historical research in science. The viewpoint is from the history and sociology of science, making a comparison between historicism and presentism. There is a boom time for the circular economy and creativity. The shape of the future will be circular. However, how will that profit chemistry? Frontier science provides hope for many problems but inequality persists.
