ABSTRACT

Autoimmune rheumatic disorders are a vast group of chronic inflammatory conditions that characteristically and invariably involve joints, ligaments, tendons, muscles, blood vessels, subcutaneous tissue, and skin to a variable extent. Though autoimmune rheumatic diseases can present with a diverse range of cutaneous and systemic manifestations, skin manifestations can guide treating physicians in making a clinical diagnosis. This chapter aims at discussing cutaneous signs that can be useful in making clinical diagnosis of various autoimmune rheumatic diseases.
